Margreet van der Beek

Margreet van der Beek is the coordinator of the Administrative Agreement for Flexible Teacher -Training Programmes at Universities of the Netherlands and the Interuniversity Committee for Teacher Training (ICL). She coordinates the projects of the administrative agreement and ensures cohesion between the projects. To this end, she coordinates with those involved in university teacher training programmes, the Netherlands Association of Universities of Applied Sciences, the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science, teachers’ organisations and the sector councils within the education field. For the ICL, Margreet is secretary of the administrative agreement steering committee.
 
Before Margreet joined Universities of the Netherlands/ICL, she worked as a communication consultant at Tilburg University. In recent years, she was mainly active in projects with secondary schools that focused on the study choice process and the substantive connection between secondary and university education. Margreet is a board member of BiOND, the national umbrella organisation for supervisors in education (secondary and vocational education).  
Although Margreet trained as a Dutch teacher, after her teacher training she decided to study communication and marketing with a focus on student recruitment.
She is also a freelance translator (French-Dutch and English-Dutch), specialising as a legal translator in criminal matters.
