Mechteld Visser

Mechteld Visser works at the Universiteiten van Nederland as a policy adviser. Within the HR domain, she focuses on aspects such as the remuneration of senior officials, diversity and inclusion, workload and the employment of people with disabilities. In addition, as a member of the Public Affairs team, she closely monitors developments in the area of education and research in the Dutch House of Representatives.
 

Mechteld did a BA in International Studies, an MSc in Public Administration and an MA in History at Leiden University. She also worked at the Administrative Office of Leiden University for one and a half years, where she focused on the implementation of the educational vision. During her studies, she worked on a consultancy project for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and completed internships at the political section of the Dutch embassy in Washington, D.C., and at EuroClio, the European Association of History Educators.
