The European University Association (EUA) is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. The organisation, which brings together more than 800 higher education organisations from 48 countries, plays a central role in European discussions and policy-making in the fields of higher education, research and innovation. As such, the EUA also represents the voice of Dutch universities, on topics such as Recognition and Valuation, Open Access/Open Science and strategic autonomy. Recently, the EUA also published its vision for the next ten years: 'Universities without Walls'. This vision makes clear that universities play a crucial role in solving the major societal challenges of our time.
